It all started in the most unexpected place, the Switch Inn, a quirky dive bar in Middletown, New York. Definitely not where youd expect to meet your future husband. But that’s exactly where Julianna spotted Jake. Next thing he knew, she was dragging him up on the karaoke stage. The song? “Chicken Fried” by Zac Brown Band which became our anthem from the very first note.


The days that followed were filled with simple, meaningful moments. Study breaks fueled by Dunkin Donuts, quiet mornings at the Colonial Diner, and conversations that made us realize just how much we were falling for each other. Each small interaction brought us closer, until it felt like we had already built a life together.


It wasn’t long before we made it official. We became part of each other’s families and supported each other through the ups and downs, especially during the whirlwind of medical school. The late night studying and the pressure of board exams all became a little easier because we had each other. Along the way, we made memories, traveled to new places, and found joy in the little things.


And of course, we became parents to the best dog we could have ever hoped for. Ducky is full of spunk and is totally the heart of our home.


As we look ahead to the next chapter, we’re filled with excitement for the future. The road we’ve traveled together has been full of love and growth, and we are so excited for this next chapter!
